Temporary Guardianship

Temporary Guardianship is used when it is imperative that a guardian be appointed without delay and is generally done in conjunction with a permanent guardianship proceeding. See Chapter 54 for when a temporary guardianship may be used. A Guardian ad Litem MUST be hired to represent the proposed Ward. A temporary guardianship expires after 60 days unless extended for one additional 60-day period.

You may purchase the forms from your local Register in Probate for a fee or to obtain the forms click here, then click on Temporary.
